Named GP

From 1st April 2015, all current and newly registered patients will be allocated to a named accountable GP. This GP is responsible for patients’ overall care at The Practice. Should you wish to establish who your present accountable GP is then please contact the practice for further information. If you have a preference as to whom your accountable GP should be, the practice will make reasonable efforts to accommodate this request.

Chris works alongside the doctors in the practice to provide a number of services including travel immunisations, baby immunisations, smoking cessation, blood pressure, car irrigation and cervical screening.

Our highly qualified nurses deal with a range of conditions and health concerns. They examine patients, make diagnosis and plan care. They are experts in many areas of disease management and arc qualified to run minor illness and chronic disease clinics including asthma, diabetes, heart disease and hypertension (raised blood pressure). We have a strong emphasis on health promotion throughout the practice so we also run well person clinics, weight management advice clinics, and smoking cessation clinics.

We also have access to a team of skilled health visitors and community nurses based here at Oxhey Drive Health Centre, who run a range of services including access to parenting courses, Chiropody clinics and more.

Dena Horton (f)

Dena is a Senior HCA who works under the supervision of our qualified nurse. She can take blood, check blood pressure, test urine, perform ECGs, 24 hour blood pressures, ear irrigation, undertake spirometry, smoking cessation and removal of sutures.
